WIFI CONNECTION DROPS AFTER WALKING AWAY

Hi I'm just posting this to ask anyone if you know a way to fix my problem, ok so I got home the other day and connected my iPad 2 (I think) to my wifi I usually do not have to because it does it automatically. Anyway when I did I walked away from my wifi modem the signal automatically drops! It works fine on my phone and my Sisters phone I have tried turning of wifi location settings, renewing the lease, resetting network settings, forget network, reset to factory settings and nothing seems to work can someone please help me?
